Yeah sorry i was planning on heading out friday night but i ended up staying the night at ocotillo wells...
We got to superstition around 9 and i drove up Wheeler and around the loop and hung out there for awhile,Then we saw my wifes uncle near where the T-shirt stand was.We hung around there for a hour or so then headed back to ocotillo wells.We took wheeler road back and saw the guy/girl that got hit by the truck...Hopefully they lived,looked pretty bad...We were in my BII.

The BII is dead now btw...overheated and started on fire...luckily i had a fire extinguisher and put it out.Not sure whether im gonna put another 2.9 in and sell it or upgrade to a 4.0 and keep it.

Oh dang that sux. Holy hell somebody got hit by a truck? Damn didn't know that. I only watched the race for about 45 minutes.

Anyways my pics always look like they are taken too far away...

Do you guys use the zoom all the time or what?Cause i aint gettin that close to the race vehicles just to get a good pic LOL.Plus my camera has a digital zoom and i've never really used it because i thought that the pic would come out like crap.I guess i'll have to start experimenting with it.

Funny thing is...Looking at Crawlers pics we may have only been a couple hundred yards apart and didnt even know it.

No,i was driving down split mountain road in ocotillo when the engine started making a funny noise...I look at the temp gauge and its hot so i shut the engine off right away...Get out the truck and its burning near the bellhousing/rear block.It looked cool at night LOL.

Anyways i check the radiator...no coolant at all...So i fill it up,coolant pours out the back side of the block through the tranny bellhousing as fast as you can pour it in.

Im assuming that i need to rebuild the engine now,most likely cracked the heads and blew the head gasket...I havent even checked yet to see if there is water in the oil i dont even care i dont want to own another 2.9L ever again.

I had a ranger with a 2.9L about 5 years ago and same thing,nothing but problems blew the head gasket.I do like the BII so i think im gonna keep it and swap in a 4.0.

I agree completly.
I change my mind every 10 minutes but im pretty damn sure im gonna swap in the 4.0...

I really do not want to waste money on a 2.9L

but then again i really want to keep the BII...

So the only solution is to swap a 4.0!

If the 4.0 lets me down im gonna be PISSED and sell all my **** and buy a Toyota!!!!!
