Did it break the shaft or just the U joint???

just the u joint but its going to be probably be a pain in the ass

Naw you can replace the joint with a c clamp, a socket and a hammer. If you don feel that you can do it take it any machine shop they will press you a new one on. If you go to any parts store they will have the yoke caps for about $5 a pair. I would suggest replacing them incase they stretched.

It would of solved the blurriness that developed in those Pics..
Lucky for you I was not the shaft, U-Joints are easy.. :cheers:

CJ, this happen to me a few months ago as I was leaving my parking lot. Luckily I had some basic tools with me to knock out the unit still connected at the front end of the rear drive shaft. I ended up driving home in front wheel drive. It was a short 5 mile drive so it wasn't bad at all. But I got home, changed out of my work clothes, heading to Kragen Auto parts, picked up two new units, new unit joint straps and I was back in business in less then a hour. It's an easy fix.
