I've driven my Bronco before with no problems while braking. It stop smoothly.

I had to work on the Dana 30. I had to put new inner and outer seals because it was leaking. I took the rotors, calipers off. Disconneted the steering linkage.
After putting everything back together and making sure everything was tightend. I took it for a test drive. The brakes work good. Everything seamed to be like it was before. So the next day I drove it again and this time when I hit the brakes, it felt like the whole thing was shaking. I got off the brakes and everything was fine. Then I hit the brakes again and again it felt like the front end wants to fall apart. I checked all the nuts and bolts again and their all tight and it's still doing it.

Anybody have any suggestions?

TIA

tie rod ends from when you disco'd the steering.

not sure how you took it off but possible damage occurred or showed up once removed.

Other places to look...
track bar mount secure? and bushings in good shape?
You got your axle bearings properly adjusted? not too loose?

hope this helps locate your problem.

Thanks, I'll take a look at it this weekend if I have time.

Good point Loco. If you didn't use a pickle fork you could damage the tie rod bushings. I ended up replacing my bushings anyway last time I was messing around with my tie rod and drag link.

IT"S FIXED!!!

I checked all the tie rods and the one from the PS was a little loose. I tightened it up and just drove it. It stops witout any wobbling.

Thanks for the advise.

Sweet. For a minute there, I thought you were going to have to put that pony down, lol.

I thought about that for a split second. Then I realized I would have to get a heep. (That was a scarey thought.) LOL It's all in fun.

I will invest in Rock Steering system for the pony. I'll feel more secure.

Again, thanks for the help.

let me reccommend Scott @ American Bronco CompanyI'll get ya the # later tonight.

I've got his rock steering on my EB. Very stout and reasonable...
when you order...tell him you want to do a TRO knuckle swap at the same time...and use Chevy TREs way better than stock ford TREs

Night and day difference in steering quality.

Locopny- what does TRO and TRE mean. I'm new to this language?

Thanks.

TRO= Tie Rod Over...your current set up is most likely hanging below the knuckles...in harms way.
below is the TRO on the fullsize..

did not see one of the EB...so I'll try to get one shortly- but not tonight.

TRE= Tie Rod End.... the junk that is at the end of the steering links at the knuckle.
Will edit with photos ASAP
