They show a Guy picking up a Big red ford Pick up truck & then he get in & stomps on it & they show him driving over what looks like a Center diver island with green grass & yellow Flowers, ( Daisy's I assume  )

These Bastards that made this commercial have no idea how it is a very negative reflection on the Off Roading community!

Fawking Dumb Ass director obviously is not an Off Roader & neither are the STUPID dumb ass'es that are in charge at Optima..

This comercial is completely counter productive & actually hurts the Image we are trying to defend!

I'm tempted to start a writing campain against Optima to explain that the exect's that gave the approvale for this commercial are not in any way helping the cuase! :joe2[1]:

Have not seen this, But it amazes me sometimes how many
major automotive manufactures depict their vehicles doing
"Off Highway" activities in commercial advertising. Some are
oblivious to how hard some of us fight to keep our lands
open to access them with such vehicles from extreme
environmental factions who want to completely shut down
our public lands to motorized access.

Sorry to change the subject, but if Optima batteries is the culprit
of this particular campaign, It only takes a little research to find their corporate
office. Send some letters and calls of complaint or suffer a boycott
of the OHV community that helped put them on the map.

letters written every day for some length of time by a few folks speak enough to get heard. may not change much...but atleast get ya heard.

I havent' seen it either...but it doesn't sound like much thought went into its production. I would assume they have offended a major sector of their consumer base with that lack of thought and potential consequence....bad PR.

Dont get me wrong the commercial aint showing it trashing all over people's gardens & such, but they do show it drive over a medium of something in what I saw as an attempt to get to the autoparts store so he could buy a Optima for his new truck. :4:

Yea it seems that automotive companies seem to be getting more and more irresponsible with their advertizing. Like for instance car companies depicting people driving way too fast for condtions on a mountain road, dumb****s driving their overpriced high-end sedans around like total assholes in busy downtown settings and another that is of recent memory the stupid control freak that blasts into a u-turn almost slamming into a couple walking their dog.
