Is there a way to legally pass a Ca. Smog test with a Fuel cell?

I think someone used to make a cell that was a direct replacement for Bronco tanks. (Fuel Safe??) I seem to remember seeing it on Baja Concepts sight a long time ago. As long as it had a stock filler neck and you didnt have big vent tubes hanging out to be seen the inspector would never even question it.

I'll have to call them back again on monday because they told me the sell a 22 Gal & a 44 Gal. & the 44Gal is over $1000.00 :eek:

I did'nt ask about direct replacement..

They said it might pass smog but might not, they cant say..
& he did point out that if the inspector was to notice it he might fail you on the visual.

I was Talking to Rodd Fantelli of Fantelli Motorsports & he explained to me what MOD's it would pretty much take to make a cell legal...

So when that day comes I either have him build me one or MOD one so its both SMOG & SCORE legal..:cheers:
