I just Got New AutoFab front fenders for Blanco & its all set up to get more work done to it, getting it close to Class 3 racing rules..

& I've been visiting Tranny shops regularly trying to get the tranny working right & they all wanna yank it out & rebuild it again when this trans only has around 1000 miles on it.

So I even had Blancos Computer rebuilt & replaced it & that did'nt change anything. ( $163.00 wasted But I figured it was that or let these other tranny shops rebuild it again.)

& I even started a thread asking about swapping to a C-6.

& I just found another shop that will finally work with me & will pulling out the accumulator because they suspect that & then if not that they'll look into the Valve body..

So I'm awarding you this Award that I truely feel you've earned! :cheers:

I'm totally game for some rock crawling in Gorman this Saturday. Damn that grapevine haul up the hill is a #itch but my little Jeep will be saying "I know I can, I know I can" LOL. I say we leave a little earlier then 10:00 a.m. but that's just me.

For those who are coming but have never been to Gorman, the rock crawling practice course is about two miles past the first Ranger pay station and it's on the left side of the road which I believe is on the NorthWest side. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Cam, I wish I could camp this time around but I'm picking up my laa-dee later that evening from Burbank Airport so no such luck for camping this time around but I think that would make a great next outing. Bring the bumper dumper on your Bronco, lol.

Hey Baja Gorman has lots of Pit Bathrooms & I agree 10am is too late of a start.
& trust me in my Sammy I know all too well about going slow with the Big Rigs going up the GrapVine.

& since I put the 33's on I lost all use of 5th gear again.:rolleyes:

& I think it would be much better to meet at the Jack in the Box at the frasier park off ramp.

If we meet in Hungry valley we're all gonna start playng around there & will get a VERY late start on the trail & that trail is pretty much a most of the day run.

So I think those with trailers should meet at the 4X4 practice area early around 8am & the rest of us should meet at the Jack in the Box at 9am..
get breakfast & ice for the coolers while waiting around for who evers late & then hopefully be heading down the road by 9:30/45 am from there it take about 20 minutes to get to the off roading anyways..

& then we finish entering hungry valley & head out to the 4x4 area..

& the biggest bonus for those of us with out trailers is it will be FREE! for us.

Last time I did'nt say any thing at the ranger station & they charged me like 6 bucks or whatever & couchslouch told them they came in through Miller Jeep trail & were just trying to get back on the road & they were not charged. :cheers:

Not sure what trail this is but there is a nice tight twisty trail just on the Northwest side of that straight hill climb that is closed for maintanence. It's about half a mile from that point and it's killer. I ended up stuffing my rear wheels up into my rear quarter panels because of all of the flexing. I may decided to hack it up and slap on some poison spyder panels in the rear.

Theres a couple of Gas Stations there too so we can top off our tanks & get ice etc...

it was just a joke. last trip wheeling all day @ Big Bear I only used 2 gallons of propane; i'm stoked (compared to 8 gallons of gas when I had my rich running carb on there). I still have 6 gallons in one tank and 10 in the other.

yeah i'm runnin pane but I'm still waiting for the special connector to connect a BBQ to the valve. car propane setups use a forklift tank and so it's a different connector.

DIRECTIONS

Ok so for you guys that dont know where this Jack in the Box is:

5 FWY north about 45 minutes past the 118 fwy, I think its the 1st exit once you pass gorman to the Fraiser Park exit. ( If you reach the rest stop, you went to far! )

Your see a Big Flying J Truck Stop/Hotel on your left as you approch the off ramp.
Turn left at the Off Ramp you'll see the Jack in the Box on your right after you go under the fwy.

Please get there early So we can eat & everything else we need to do before heading out to wheel. :)
