well as one or two of you may know I finall got my 79 bronco running again, but ive got a small problem. i'll go out to start it pump the pedal two times, wait 10 sec. and start, starts like a champ then dies a few short seconds later, usually take about 10 to 15 mins to get it started ( doesnt sound like its hitting all 8 ether but good enought to drive:D) any way I get it warmed up it'll start right up them I run in to an accel prob. heres the vid, any ideas?

Check the float level on your carb. It may not be getting enough gas. If the float is set to low the carb will suck the bowl dry before it can refill.

More than likely a choke problem.Make sure its closing. Also make sure the pull off is working to open it that slight little bit after it fires.

I didn't think it be closed in 80 degree weather....but I'll give it a whurl, and does any one have a pic of the wire for the eletric choke? ive been using a jumper wire from the spade connecter to the + bat. terminal.

Choke should still close some in hot weather.I don't have a schematic but you can run your power for the choke off the starter relay.Use a test light if you have 2 small terminals to determine what 1 to use.You want to use the 1 that comes on and stays on with the key in the run position.
