In my Dually I seem to be having a variation in the reading displayed by the volts gauge. :6:
Yesterday when I left home to go to work it read almost 14 volts.
& then that night went I got in it the gauge read closer to 10 volts & when I'd use my turn signal the needle would drop some every time the blinker flashed on.
& then this morning it read about 12. :shrug:
The lights seem to all work fine & it starts every time.
But before I brought the truck home it sat constantly & always needed to get jumped & it usually took along time to get enough charge in the battery for it to start.
Might that be part of it?
Or is the gauge only reading what the Alt. puts out?
Might I need a new Battery or Alt?
