Are these pretty good sport ATV's, are or they "outdated and slow" by today's standards?

My buddy scored a late 90's model off eBay. Full DG pipe, K&N filter, re-jetted, and i think the P.O. changed the rear sproket, too. Of course, I took my King Quad with me when I went to check it out. Mine's pretty much stock. I've got a Uni filter and a Yosh slip on exhaust.

He had me on the corners (duh) but i reeled him in easily during the straight runs.... Mine has a limiter at 72 mph, the Warrior would do high 60's maybe?

I guess i'm asking if I can brag about this or was there no contest?

they're slow and outdated to todays standards. but they're made for high speed trail riding. thats about it not a drag bike. plus yours weighs alot more

the 450r is a good bike but when they first came out they had a problem with the frame cracking but i'm not sure which years. i know my 300ex will do 80 and probably faster if i had more top end speed.

my buddies bike the trx450 has a rebuilt engine with a cam and is geared as high as he could for desert racing. A cop on his street clocked him at 93 mph in 4th gear. the bike still has 5th but a little to high
