I'm watching the news & there saying that People trying to sell their homes are not selling because they're having a hard time letting them selves drop the price for their home that they missed out selling high at a profit....
so now as many of us have noticed the Homes just sit unsold & now were facing a possible change in the market.... They saying the prices have to drop....

& They added the price of fuel these days makes it harder for the buyer to consider such an expense So combing fuel Cost & so forth the prices for homes will have to come down if these people expect to sell their homes..:ewg:

10 years ago houses in my area were going from 140-210k... Nowadays the same houses start at 490K... the ****ed up part is that people are buying them within a month or so of them being listed.. the prices keep going up and people keep buying them.. At this point i cant see myself buying a house in So-Cal at these crazy prices..

Beter than NorCal...

Personally, I think rising gas prices (and in turn costs) and the generally improving economy are going to create inflation... and the fed will raise rates to try and control inflation. I think that house prices will fall if they continue to raise rates... or they'll at least level out. If they mess up and either don't anticipate it and hike the rates, the inflation will eventually kill the market, or if they over compensate like they did in the late 90s, they'll drive the market into a recession by cutting deeply into the money supply with an unnecessary rate hike.

So I'm going to hold off...as much as I'd like to buy ASAP.

On Wednesday the Feds are raising the rate to 5 which is the 3rd time in the past 18 months. We don't see the affect til 8-9 months down the road but according to the jumps we've been having and what consumers are willing to allow; end of this year, beginning of next we will see it level off and go down some. IMO

I bought my house at 79,900 10 years ago and now the same house is selling for 140,000... With my house note under $700 amonth for a 3 BR 2 Bth. I am not moveing...

At the rate our market is going my house note is going to be equal to a car note before long...

This is why people from up north move here. My neighbors moved here from Boston and from the profit from thier house in Boston they paid cash for the house next to me... They are my age (34) so it is not like they are 60 and paid on a house for 30 something years....:waiting:

I'd like to buy, but a few things stand in the way:

1) The lovely lady doesn't want to buy, she'd rather go out to dinner every other night like we do now. :jerkit: (I'm over simplifying it... we just live well now, and she likes it that way and doens't see it as a fair trade)
2) I personally think the market is going to begin to fall, or at least level off... especially places on the "edge" of major commuting possibilites (e.g. Victorville, Temecula, maybe Riverside and San Bernardino to a lesser extent... up north Santa Rosa, Vacaville, Antioch, Livermore)
3) I really don't want to live down here too too long. I see myself in SoCal for another 2-5 years.

So that's why I haven't bought...yet.

lol, it's not actually that bad. she cooks and cleans plenty, and honestly she's not high maint.

She's not interested in expensive clothes and purses and shoes... none of that stuff. Just food. Which is amazing, because she's pretty skinny if you look at her pic in the other thread...

HOLLY CRAP!

I just got off the phone with a loan dude that was Highly recomended & I was told even with my excellent credit .
If I get a house that cost around $650.000 I would have a payment (including INS. & Taxes) would be about $3500.00 to $4000.00 a month! http://bestsmileys.com/big/4.gif
