hopefully it was natural and not had to suffer from some illness. Hope his shop still continues and the awesome builds still compliment his taste

RIP Boyd.
While his reputation was tarnished by American Hotrod to many he was a legend in the hot rod industry. He also was the start for other legends such as Jessie James (West Coast Chopers) and Chip Foose.
I watched American Hotrod from the beggining and he came accross as an oaf at first but he did have my respect for his history in the business. In the later shows he was a little more polished.

I beleave that was Hollywoods fault.
I never met Boyd, but I know how the TV biz works & I bet they tried to make it sorta like American chopper & such .....
Due to that I never cared for the show.
I watched a few early episodes & was turned off.
But I know as I said it was the producers & directors etc.....
