External hard drives or Zip drive?

My LapTop has way too much stuff stored on it, Like thousands of Pics. :rolleyes:
& I'm running out of memory.
Its a real PITA! :bangdesk:

So I'm trying to figure out the best & least expensive way to go about unloading all my Pics from my lapTop.. :o

What do you guys think?

Burning them onto CD's is a joke!
CD's dont have enough space on them & I dont have a DVD burner. :shrug:

I just picked up an external hard drive from Best Buy the other day. 160 Gig for $75...

Dumped all my stuff off my computer to it in like 5 min and wiped my computer clean. No more Windows for me..:pianodance:

They had 250 Gig drive and I want to say the were around $180 and it looks like they are on sale for $120???

I doubt your laptop has larger than 250 Gig of hard drive so it should hold all your pics. Oh I don't think you can even buy Zip drive anymore...

Well think of this. If you have a 1 Gig memory stick in your camera this drive is going to hold close 160 full cameras sticks... That is an ass load of pics...:16:

Breast Buy had 500 GB externals for $120 earlier this week. Try getting one or two of those. Another option is to buy a NAS (Network Attached Storage) device and connect it to your network at home. But that won't be portable.

I liked the 160 I got because it is pocket size. About the size of a full length wallet..:)

I bought a 250G External yesterday & installed it today.

I paid $99.00 for it from best buy. :)
