i used to be into r/c airplanes when i was 10. those choppers are expensive. i remember them being like $800 for a basic starter. my planes were $250-350 for a starter.

I plan on starting with a cheapy electric for like $30.00 to see if I can even manage to fly one of them & them from there if I'm into it I'll step up to a bigger & better one. :D

Cam if you want to get into another hobby and buy a helicopter then buying those cheap $30 helicopters is no way to go on learning.
they are no where near the same thing regarding how it controls, etc.
You sure like to get into expensive sports!
Ask Chris T. about his. He's got Mucho money in his and it's sitting in his garage broke.... from his test flight. parts aren't cheap either.
yet again, maybe you should just buy the $30 one and have fun, forget the real R/C type.

& It come with a nice 3 chnl control that is similar in design to high dollar units.
I figure I'll master this simple one then move up from there. :D
I decided to go with the ring type in hopes of slight skims against the wall wont damage the blades unlike the ones with out a ring.
& yes I'll get the spare blades as I buy the toy.

Have a blast, but don't you need some work done on your Sami, or are you done with that hobby? Just messin', and when's your B-Day again, on the 12th. or something like that? Have fun.

The Chopper was a gift from my GF & your close my B-Day is on the 13th
& all the things I need for my Sammy cost alot more than $30.00
Besides, I've always wanted a R/C Chopper. :D

Either way, I appreciate you giving it too me.
I found some replacement blades for it. :)
They don't fit right, but I'm gonna try to modify them to see if I could get it to work. :)

I just hooked up my R/C Simulator to the Home PC & must say its a good thing I got this because its hard to control. :o
But I can see countless hours of fun practicing being I'm at home everyday with no work & need something to occupy my time. http://www.emofaces.com/en/smilies/h/helicopter-smile.gif

Fly's pretty good.

I prefered flying it over the kitchen floor because when it landed it was safer than on the carpet.

That did give me a better understanding in it operation, But the controls are a bit different.
The SIM is an 4/8 chl & the toy is a 3.
Not to mention if you crash the SIM its no biggy.
