What the most "White-Trash" thing you've done lately

I reached the hightlight of my white trash status. If you know from my long run "gonna paint my car" forum, I was gonne do it some day... today was the day. I passed on the HVLP gun (that I have) and went straight for the "White Trash" medal of honor! I painted my car with a paint brush and roller! :jaw-dropping: I have been reading posts from other message boards about people painting their cars this way for under $100 and I was very sceptical till I saw the pictures... :ewg: damn, it seemed possible, so I went for it.

I started testing on the trunklid and then said f'it, now my whole car is blue!! still in progress...

I was actually thinkin' "How White Trash is that?" Then I started seeing the pics of how it was comming out, and I thought "what the hell", for $50 if it's crap then I sand and repaint like I planned on anyways... It's funny though, gotta hide the roller everytime a car drives by. At first I was like "what the hell am I doing" :slap2: but now that I figured out what the hell I'm doing it's actually comming out pretty good. :cheers: :17: We'll see how it goes in the next few days...

looks good, maybe i would of gone with something darker..... and i dont think i would of had the balls to do it that way....

Thank you, I don't plan on a clear coat, just wax... I like the idea of being able to do a quick fix if I get a ding or scratch, just whip out the old roller, LOL. :paperbag: It's funny that I had a gallon of paint for my HVLP gun, so I got 4 quarts of the Rustolium, but with the mixing with the Mineral Spirits, I have done 4 coats of the whole car with 1 quart. :HistericalSmiley: A roller in one hand and a beer in the other...

Maybe one day after you finish up the paint you can bring it out to Bobs Big Boys out here on friday night & take place in the hot rod hang out ...
