About 3 weeks ago we took my dog Hunny to the vet for her yearly shots and to have her left front leg looked at. Over the years she's been chewing on it now and than, vets told me to give her Benedyrl as it might be allergies. Well it got nasty a week or so before her vet visit, I mean completely nawed on, nasty. $300 and a bottle of steroids and antiboitics later we went home. It healed fine for the first week, the swelling was completely gone...than...she started chewing it again, I'm guessing it was getting itchy. Well she just went back yesterday and the vet prescribed yet more steroids and antibiotics, requested another $114.00...AND...one of those fancy little cones for around her head. OMG John and I couldn't stop laughing! It was so funny trying to see her navigate around...took her a few hours to figure out that she can turn around in the hallway without waiting for someone to come to her rescue, lol. She has mastered going down stairs now so she can get outside. The first time, she was scared as she couldn't see the steps. On a good note though...she did loose 7 pounds in the last 3 weeks, from 89.2 pounds to 82!
