M5R1 4X4 or FM146 ?

HI GUYS, I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT TRANSMISSION IT'S BETTER,OR WICH ONE CAN HOLD MORE TORQUE FOR OFF-ROAD RACING, THIS TWO TRANSMISSION THE M5R1 4X4 ford explorer 92 or the FM146 ranger 1989, both fits on the ford explorer, hope some one can help us out with this question, thks a lot. see yaa.:cheers:

well im going to go with what i know bout the BII manuals.... since theyre basicaly the same... i would go with theM5R1 more heavey duty and can handle a bit more stress and easier to work on ..... mazada trannies tend to be better than the FM146 just make sure its not a "granny gear" 1st....
