got a super inexpensive tank bag from Ebay that should be here this week for testing. Used decent quality bag that isn't made in China. Not that China can't make something nice but generally speaking....ya kno?

anyway here is the ebay listing photo for your photo appetite....

I'm still riding. Its only been 19* at the lowest so far. When it gets bad I suppose I'll quit for the season. No ice I'll keep riding.

Got the bag delivered today. SOOO happy with the condition and the price paid. Looks really good on the bike too. I don't get to use it until maybe the weekend, but that is thanks to this shed build project not the weather.
If I could carry what I am doing tomorrow on the bike I'd ride it. But 2 36" doors will not work well on a bike. Then add a couple drills and you have the makings for a really bad scenario on Life in the ER series.

No. I have not taken photos yet of it installed....because I just got it. I will hopefully get to do that this weekend after the oil change in the diesel and fuel tank drop out from dads truck.

nice.

I can say this is really starting to look like a street adventure bike. Long distance get away machine. I like it.

Still going to keep looking for a rear rack for this. I'm told its like Hens teeth its that rare now days. I just am not all that interested in building one if I can avoid it. Sure would make attaching the top bag a lot easier.

I'm still working on some photos of this dressed in adventure gear. With the timeline of getting the oil change and fuel pump swap in dad's truck and my quick trip to Utah....I just got back to the garage to clean it up and take it for a ride tonight. Yeah...Dec.16th and I'm riding at night. Crazy. But the weather is still nice at 33-ish. No ice. I'm comfortable except for a fogging visor on the helmet. My goal is to ride it once a month all winter...road conditions permitting.

Now...I have to locate one quick release snap for the front tank bag clip. I think I have one somewhere and that is all that prevents a permanent mount location.
Will keep looking in between decoration time on the house.

found a clip for the bag at Hobby Lobby. Took it out for a ride tonight as it was in the low 30s but then it started to rain a bit. Was helping mount some tires to rims so Finished up quick and headed home to garage it for what might end up being a couple months....Supposed to be about -18* by Sunday. AND some snow and ice. Might just be the end of the 2017 riding season. But really cant complain as it is Dec. 18th! I may consider a snow bike conversion for the dirtbike....so then it can be ridden all year.

No, I mean COLD here. Below 0 temps are not at all friendly for riding.
haha.

We've been typically about 31/32 degrees here in Scotland the past few days since arriving.

Suppose to snow again tonight.

Funny England is freaking out & shutting down airports & going ape ****e over 1.9" of snow!

They're in now way use it.
Not like I am in anyway myself, but I might head out into it with my Front Wheel driver Toyota rental CH-R?

snow on the road for the last couple days along with temps near -30 say its done for a while.

even a bit too chilly to work in the garage. Struggling to keep up the above freezing temp.

got some luggage in the off season. And the first nice day when the driveway was cleared off and not soooo cold--I put it on and ran the bike to keep it lubricated up while in hibernation.

Heres the photos...
Ok off to SM as they wont upload here...

Such a beautiful bike!

Speaking of bikes I decided to not trade my Sammy for that bike I told you about.
Beside the injury risk, it just seems so impractical for me.
I would only ride it for fun.

thank you.

and I understand. You might be missing out on fun...even if daily ridden to work.
these are addictive....trust me. I got two in as many years. Its tough not to get yet another large cruiser/touring bike. They are small and fit many in a garage.

Yeah yeah, I do like that parts are cheaper & they really take up no space.

I'm thinking I'll like just keep the Sammy for now.

photo from my little run to the Hills.

A big reason I took two bikes.

rest of the photos I took for the road portion of the trip.
