It was built as an Off roadable trailer right?
So I moved it to the off road projects, unless it only gonna be used on road we can move it to the lonely On Road projects area....

I cant wait to see the Pics. sure most of us hear can spot a diamond in the ruff!

this is to hold ya over until I can locate that damn cable. I tell ya moving is a disorganizing activity.

anyhow this is where I started...the day I picked up the trailer tub. (note to eb purists...this tub was in a front end wreck and was fairly well damaged to about the middle of the front floor pan.)

what do you notice besides the dual spare tire rack on this??? something that Cambo wants all members to display on the rigs....

best shot I could get with it on the side yard. will do better once its attached to the Sub Monday or Tuesday night. also give me a chance to primer it one color for the purty factor...

spring tech needed...

Towed it on the maiden test run tonight...first run had too much
weight behind the axle (caused "death Wobble" at speeds greater than
about 45MPH)
Next run I moved the spare tires to the hitch area. which Solved?
the "death wobble" problem so it would seem as I got to 55 MPH with
only some side to side 'wave'? action. --that I believe is caused by
the long, undersprung leaf packs I got.

for the tech part...
I have shocks on this trailer. procomps that are far from new, but
have some decent gas pressure remaining in them. they are mounted
rear ward of the axle and angled toward center basically
perpendicular to the road surface. for sh!ts and giggles, I removed
the shocks from the axle while the trailer was still hooked to the
rig...I noticed very little difference in the dampening ability on
VS. off. Maybe the angle I have them mounted at is too great?

For the springs I have used some stock EB rear springs that have had
2 leaves removed from them. One really thick long leave (a possible
lift spring?) and one shorter less thick leaf..

I am wondering if I ought to put the shorter leaf back in. Would
this help eliminate the 'wave' action in the trailer? Originally
the 2 were removed to have a softer ride and adjust ride height.
not sure that ride height is all that important...but With all
leaves in the pack, It took my 175# frame jumping on it to get it to
budge much at all.
do I get some stronger (newer) shocks?

can anyone lend some insight to let me know if I'm headed in the
correct direction? I need this to do more than slow speed local
trips.

Death Wobble could be caused by a flat tire?

Cool trailer...I cant say much about the leafsprings, but id think putting one of the leafs back in,if not all of them might solve youre "wave" problem. They were designed to work that way and with the trailer loaded it may weigh the same or more as the back half of a EB.Just a guess.

On the other hand,i can relate to the procomp shocks...They are trash.I've had mine for no longer than a month and they dont work at all anymore...Never been abused only off roaded twice.I would not recommend those shocks to anyone.
