I went & got the biggest battery that will comfortably fit in the compartment I have for the Trolling Motor battery.

Its a Series 27 vs the Series 24 that it had in it when i bought it.

The old battery had a rating of 84 Amp hours vs the new bigger one I got with 108 Amp hours.

So I had to replace the battery tray. ( you can see why I say its the biggest that would fit comfortably. )

The trolling motor is not mounted perfect. ( Thats why I normally pay people that know what they're doing ) But its close & I'll leave it at that for now.

Seems the pedal is a very simple plug & play set up?

Then the leads to the battery.

I'm assuming this is for US2 connection? ( for the fish finder. )

The projects just never end when you have many toys...
Well, a week ago I was out fishing with the wife & my fat ass broke the seat post!
So that became the latest project & as of today it almost repaired & upgraded...

The pics....
I sat on the seat & it collapsed under me.

Seems the welds broke.

So I decided being out of work lately that I would repair this my self.
& here what I got done today.
I will let the pics do most of the story for me.

The boat shop said the wood was broken & that they would have to rreplace it & etc etc... Adding to the bill I would have to pay.
But.... Its not actually broken.
It was only the welds that broke.

Yet I decided while I was there I would replace it it with the best quality replacement wood I could buy & that only coat me $17.00.

Under the wood it looked fine for the most part.

My Step Son David AKA ( TWW'ian) TheHammer got motivated to help me today after I took him fishing on the boat yesterday.
To help me & so I went & got the supplies & he did most of the measuring & cutting for me.

Then I shot some clear coat on it, in attempts to help protect it.

Then David welded up the original part that broke for me Much stronger than it was before & we were good to go back to together.

Here I'm prepping it, reinstalling the basic parts & then shooting it with some 3M adhesive as I reapplied the carpet.

Thank god the carpet was old & already cut & shaped for the contours of the part.
Otherwise I figure it might of been more of a challenge to make it look good.

Tomorrow I'll get a few extra replacement part & put it all back together with plans to go fishing on Thursday.

Went fishing today..

How cute!

& As of today I decided to rent a Slip & keep the boat there monthly, being I'm there 2 or 3 times a week anyways it seemed worth the cost to keep it there.
Heck now that my boats there I'm more likely to go even more than 3 times a week if work allows..
I can now just drive to the lake & get in the boat for 3 or 4 hours & not feel like it has to be an all day event being I have to get up early & drag the boat out from my Step Daughters house & then tow it to the the lake & then hope some guy is at her house ( Like her Brother or Dad ) to help me get the boat back into the spot.
It take two men to push it into the spot.

Yes you guys get more rain from what I understand, not to mention the humidity!
So far I've had the boat out once since I've put it in the slip.
it was a short day & then I dropped it off at the boat shop to have a few things done to it.

TWW'ian "The Hammer" ( My Step Son ) Welded up the fenders today that were falling off my trailer.
Since I bought the boat the fenders were looking like they were about to fall off.

But now they are rock solid!
I can step on them with my fat self & they are completely solid!!

Thank you soooooo much David!

HECK YEAH!
Especially when that's how I have to climb in & out of the boat while its on shore!.

I really enjoyed having the boat in the slip at Piru for the past month & a 1/2, but I'm also not happy with all the slime it left along the bottom of my boat!
I had to wash my boat off as soon as I got home because of all the lake mildew along the bottom of it.

Brought the boat home from my stepdaughters house today.

Fits real nice in the car port.
& right away I got to work on it.

& as you can see I mounted one of the light fixtures I had in the shed above it & also used a clamp on lamp to work on it.
I plan to take it out this Tuesday.
Its been too long since I've been fishing.

Installed my Battery charger into the boat & ran the lines through the compartments to each battery.

Then I replace the mismatching rod holders that didn't work with proper working ones & fired up the outboard to make sure it starts up easy & ran well & is good to go Tuesday!

Been working on it a little lately, repaird the fish finder mount & got some different color carpet to add soon & changed up the wheels a bit.

Painted & added Chrome trim to the wheels, should look good towed behind the truck.

Before:

After:

Maybe this weekend I'll show you why I did it?

I've gotten tired of looking at my torn carpet in my boat & did not want to spend the money to replace it the right way I so I just did a 1/2 hour RedNeck style carpet job.

Just some cheapy in-door out-door carpet & cut it to size & laid it on top of the old carpet.

This is just temporary & a color test to see if I like the Blue color, I figured I would, but this way I get to try it out for a while before committing to doing the carpet right way, at what most shops charge about $700.00 to repace.

The way I did it, its easy to just pull it out & shake off all the dirt if I so desired.

As I started doing it I sort wished I would spent more time to make it nicer but already cut it & figured F*#K it.

Before:

After:

Yeah, I think I like the color!
