I tore the bike apart to put on new tires, new clutch, and fork seals. should be done this week. Too bad I will not be taking it out this coming weekend due to a sore back. Had been pushing for a weekend in the hills with other like minded non-cagers.
then I move on to the Ghia.

THEN, I will post about the new toy....or at least wait until it gets here.

I would have hoped to be riding this one by now....but as with any project, the unforeseen gets in the way sometimes. Little did I know that I'd still be waiting on some minor parts....that hold up most of the reassembly of the bike. I hope they arrive to the dealer Weds as I'll be in town and can pick them up. I haven't ridden it since last November...its time.
In the mean time I've been putting the miles on the street bike. They add up fast. I'm on it almost every day. One big stress reliever....providing I don't hit a badger or a deer. I am always on the lookout for the Two Legged North American Ignoramus Automobilian.

Finally got my parts delivered after what seems to be forever. Just need to find the time to get in the garage and get after the install.
3 week down time for $75 worth of parts that held everything up. But once installed I should not need to get into this bike again for a LONG time.

after waiting for those parts so long I have yet to install them yet. And now it rains a couple times a week.....where a dirt bike would be sorta fun to practice on. Mine sits on the stand waiting of the forks to be rebuilt still. Whats worse? my compressor has been moved to the other house for roofing. (so glad to have a 220V outlet for an air conditioner already installed.)
At this point I'm hoping to get it back together and ridden once before winter comes and I store it at the roofing house's Dining room. It needs a new floor anyway and I like to keep the bikes heated. Remember I stored a 460 engine in my kitchen for a couple years until I got my garage conditioned. (life of a bachelor right?)

All that so I can have warm garage space for a certain VW project that needs to run and drive. cant fit 2 bikes and a VW in the garage with all the tools and still have space to work. Don't see how I can get the double garage insulated and sheetrocked before the end of the year with the other projects ahead of it. Again...I need a clone or kids to help me.
