Trust me you were the person that I thought of when I was thinking about the work the rig needs to look show ready.

I'll probably be asking you for lots of tips on detailing it as we get closer to the show..

Today we straight piped my C350.

Deleted the factory stuff & replaced it with simple straight exhaust tubing with no restrictions & Boy does it sound good now.
At an Idle it pretty much sounds the same & then stomp on the pedal & it comes alive!
Sounds as tough as it looks now.

I had David ( TWW'ian ) "TheHammer" do it for me at his dads shop.

Straight Pipe being installed:

We decided to go with a turn out in front of the rear tire instead of keeping the stock pipe all the way to the back bumper.

I am much happier with the sound & looks of it now.

The tip actually sit higher than in this picture.
I took this picture before it was completed.

Maybe tomorrow I'll figure out a way to record the sound on my phone ( so actually can hear it.
Tomorrow should be fun towing the boat through the canyon on the way to the lake.
I just hope the rain storm is over by then.

Tacky Mods made to the Centurion by newest owner

Hi I am the newest owner of the 1996 Centurion and have been making the tacky mods that Blonco seems to hate that I made to the truck. I am building the truck to suite my needs as an all around Tow, Trail, Pit and recovery vehicle for my other vehicles that I may poste to this site later.
So far I have replaced the exhaust with a complete Banks turbo back system to quiet it up for highway driving , installed a Banks intercooler and a turbo intake guide which seems to help the low end quite a bit.
I have added a new front bumper with a Warn 16.5 winch with fog and driving lights. fabricated a skid plate to protect the core support from potential damage.
I have added a new rear bumper with a 12000 pound winch (mainly to pull the junk a** cars I buy on the trailer) with tire carrier and reverse/work lights
I have added a set of front dual shock hoops (I had them from my other truck and the look cool too me).

Tacky Mods

I have added side steps to the side bars that Cam built for the truck. NOW NOW before you all get mad they are easily removable with two bolts when you go wheeling. The ladies in my life are short.
I have changed the wheels and tires to a set of 37" Procomp Extreme All Terrains and the Hutchinson Dual Bead lock rims that I have for one of my other projects (may as well use them for something other than spider nests in the garage.)

Other TACKY that are coming very soon

The front Dana 60 is being replaced with the King Pin Style Dynatrac Dana 60 unit out of my other truck with the addition 4.30 gears and Power Lok limited slip differential Chromalloy axle shafts and cross over steering. I will also steel th ram assist steering of my other truck and do a Saginaw power steering pump conversion.
The rear axle is going to be replaces with a disc brake Dana 80 with matching 4.30 gears and a Power Lok as well. the rear drive shaft is going to be upgraded to a 1480 series unit.
As far as future engine and transmission mods are in the far off future the truck run fantastic. I do have a spare 7.3 Powerstroke and E4OD transmission that I will tinker with later.
I am also thinking about fabbing up a roll cage for it but I don't know. I just like cages in trucks just in case I have seen some bad roll overs on stupid simple trails

OK ouch smack me around, LOL!

I did not like the couple things the guy before you did to it & for the most part LOVE most of what your doing!

I would kept the factory trademark Centurion grill, But thats just me.
The head lights?
I'm not 100 percent on them unless they are brighter, then I like them.

We LOVED this truck & doubt when your ready to sell it back to me I'll be able to afford it.

But Hope I get 1st shot at it.

Love the majority of all your doing to it & so happy to see it being treated right!

Remember Mods are to each persons liking & whats awesome about cars is we all do them just a little different from the next guy, it makes it personal this way.

Did you wear out the Toyos or just prefer your companies brand?

I'm shocked that I still have not seen it driving around town anywhere, When I do I'll be the crazy guy trying to stop you! LOL!

Keep up the good work.

Centurion

Well to be honest with you i really liked the way the truck looked in this pic

I think it looked classy with the stock wheels and the 35" as for the headlights they are way brighter than the stock ones but i would still like brighter. the grill got changed because it was broken and rattling after i had a little bobo with it and I am way too lazy to paint it like they did. I kind of like the stock look as well. Word of advise BUY N.O.S. PARTS china crap does not fit. i bought one and it fit terrible had to put so much work into it and it still did not fit. bought N.O.S off ebay went right in.
I saw another Centurion in Sunland that had the twin tanks. i tried to talk to the guy and he would have none of that he told me to FO! i was shocked. dont you know a guy wit another with the twin tanks i really want to see how they did the filler neck for the front tank? Maybe there will be one at Knotts this year.
Don't know if the Centurion will be there this year i am trying really hard to get my Torino there may have to trailer the Torino so the Centurion will be stuck in a parking lot somewhere with the trailer

Bring them both to the show, I've never seen your Torino can you share a picture with us?

I also am a big fan of brighter lights.

I wonder why the guy was such a prick to you with the dual tanks?

Was a cream color?

There is a guy with a shop up the street from me thAt has one & he was very nice to me.

There's another that roams The Agua Dulce area I've seen it a few time in there near the crown valley rd exit off the 14.

The one I'm talking about was white but more of a creamy white the the one you have & yeah it had something like Black 20" or something wheels last time I saw it & its a gas model.

His shop is pretty much on San Fernando & Lankershim.
