Looking good! What's gonna be the main difference between this one & your other toy? Might this one be more for Azusa? Did do most of this stuff or was it already in when you got it?What did you do with the old drivetrain ?

Did you do all this work yourself?
Or was it an already started project?

& did you swap the drive train? & if so what did you do with the original engine? :swap:

He replaced the cab, front fenders and hood but never got it all back together running. It has a marlin built trans, duel cased, 488 hypinion elocker in front not wired yet. Stock 410 in the rear. Im going to turn it into a trugy. exocage, etc

toy

you seem to be the vato for the toy junk. whats up with the 3.4 v6? good, better than 3.0, 4cyl so forth. Better engine to start with? supported by aftermarket? better to leave stock and beat, whats the story?

As for the Toy engine's. The 3.0 had some problems and got the worst gas mileage. The 3.4 was built really strong and can handle alot of upgrades. My 2004 tacoma is pushing over 300HP now.

Here are some specs for you.

Mini Truck (1979-1995)
20R = 2.2L, I4, 90 HP@4800, 122 Ft-Lbs@2400, SOHC (1979-1980)
22R = 2.4L, I4, 96 HP@4800, 129 Ft-Lbs@2800, SOHC (1981-1995)
22RE = 2.4L, I4, 112 HP@4600, 142 Ft-Lbs@3400, SOHC (1984-1995)
22RTE = 2.4L, I4, 135 HP@4800, 173 Ft-Lbs@2800, 6psi, SOHC (1985-1987)
3VZ-E = 3.0 L V6, 145 HP@ 4800rpm; 180ft-lbs @ 3400rpm (1989-1994)

T-100 (1994-1998)
3RZ-FE = 2.7 L, I4, 150 HP@4800, 177 Ft-Lbs@4000, DOHC
5VZ-FE = 3.4 L, V6, 190 HP@4800, 220 Ft-Lbs@3600, DOHC

Tacoma (1995.5-2004)
2RZ-FE = 2.4 L, I4, 142 HP@5000, 160 Ft-Lbs@4000, DOHC
3RZ-FE = 2.7 L, I4, 150 HP@4800, 177 Ft-Lbs@4000, DOHC
5VZ-FE = 3.4 L, V6, 190 HP@4800, 220 Ft-Lbs@3600, DOHC

just like Steve said the 3.0 had issues. Toyota got high and then desinged that motor. probably the worst toyota motor made to date.

Thats a great engine. But may cost you big bucks to do the swap. 1.6 16v sidekick swap only cost me about $500.
