I've gone to North Hollywood Spedometer & had them fix it on their calibrated Dyno.

They swap in the right gear for the over sized tires & the speedo is corrected.

That only works for pre-92 f-series/bronco. This is an all electric signal for the speedo using the anti lock/vss sensor.
There is no cable to the speedo.

picked up another transmission for this truck. A small block ZF5. Came with a carrying case.....a 1991 F250 with a 5.8L 4wd. Stole the thing...but I think it was a fair price and the seller accepted the offer...probably to just have it gone. It came with 5 decent LT265/75/16s that may get used on my SD as my "new" BFGs are pushing 40K miles and showing their age. Don't expect them to see 50K.
Also had a SD longbox pickup topper. That is currently setting on dads SD to see if he likes it.
AS much as I want yet another truck....I do plan to part this Beater with a Heater out. The 5.8 needs something...not sure what though. has a miss. May chop the frame and make a trailer out of the bed and frame. Steal the column for the diesel bronco project and use the fuel pump from it for the Beater Bronco. If I'm good I can remove the windshield and replace my busted one in Happy 2. Stuff just follows me home....I swear it. My farm yard is going to look like a Ford dealer before long. Photos on the camera but cord is yet to be unpacked from the trip.

Its easy....don't sleep
EVER.

Drink large amounts of caffeine in coffee or cola depending on time of day or temperature.

Watch others project vehicles get done before yours on YouTube or some such deal.

Oh yeah....don't have a female energy zapper. Not to say that they are all bad, but ones that zap what energy you do have for extra shop projects are not all good. Some of us learn a little slower than others. At least I have learned on this one. Its ok to do stuff for myself for now....because if I don't, then who will?

Its nice to be motivated by wanting a clear shop, and cleaned up yard. Might even try motivate myself by thinking of moving...and not moving a car lot with me.

For the fortunate few that meet someone willing/wanting to participate in a project...its not a problem. I haven't met that one yet. May never. But my projects will get done and I'll be happy.

Happy 2.
The circle is complete.

Has Zen been achieved?
eh....jury is still out on that one. haha

Its cold out...so what better time to swap the driver door and hinges over.

well, it was a good thought that wasn't exactly thought out really well. Got the old door and hinges off. and then got too cold to put the other one on. However, I did discover why the power locks didn't work....two broken wires.
To do the swap right and correct a gapping issue, I also have to remove the front fender or at least enough to fix some mounting point issues. Best to gap the door to the cab and then the fender to the door and hood. I want this all done prior to the fresh paint. Calico paint job will not last long I hope. Wrong color topper is bad enough, but now with 4 colors on the truck it will look terrible. White tailgate, green topper, silver truck, maroon door and hood/cowl/valance...I really will want a painted truck later this year.

got that fender off and the door gapped and all accessories put back in. mounted the fender and fought getting it gapped right. Still not correct but it was all I could do to put it back together with the wrong color fender. It is so nice to have a door that closes nice and the correct end color I want. Also nice to have the truck back to run around with when it is so cold....although I write this today its a nice 37 or so above. That would be a 180 degree flip from when I was doing the swap.
really am looking for some other body panels in the correct color....so I can just paint the big parts in stages.

I need a memory upgrade. So does my computer.

You & me both Buddy!

I was recently at the Apple store for an issue & they told while looking at my computer, to NOT do any updates or anything else to my computer being its not got enough space left & its more likely to slow it down than help in anyway.

yeah...an update here needs 8G! I don't have that much. not even sure that is all that much...just more than I have avail.

Not sure I have that much more than that available in my brain either.
Gaining years of experience sucks....but it does outweigh the alternative.
